Got Super Bowl plans?

It’s Super Bowl weekend and while I must admit that I couldn’t care less about football, who can say no to some good eats and lots of beer? Unfortunately, I’m not up to hosting a party because nearly everyone I know is broke and won’t be able to chip in on the aforementioned food stuffs and beers, aaaaand as such, it should be pretty apparent that none of them will be throwing any bashes either. So what’s a body to do?

If you’re in the same boat as me, or just happened to forget that this was the big weekend – you’re in luck. The famous Pig ‘n Whistle in Hollywood is throwing a Super Bowl bash of it’s own, and while it’s not free to attend, it’s definitely one helluva deal!

The Pig n’ Whistle is charging 50 bucks a head, but you can get tickets for only $30 through Gold Star Events. I will say it many times in the future, mark my words, but if you don’t already have a Gold Star account – set one up right now. Don’t even finish reading this post – (please come back when you’re done registering though)! It’s completely free to join and you’ll get some amazing discounts to events in Los Angeles and other major cities, should you travel there.

End tangent.

So what do you get for this $30? Besides the pleasure of enjoying the game on a giant projector screen with Dolby Surround Sound, you will be able to indulge yourself in all your game day food favorites (brats, nachos, hot dogs, etc.) in an all-you-can-eat buffet from 2pm-5pm. Even better, from 2pm – 7pm you’ll get access to an open bar featuring well and domestic draft beers. When you consider that most LA bars charge a whopping $5 per draft, it’s pretty obvious that you’ll get your money’s worth on this one.

Happy affordable Super Bowl to you all!
